How do I begin?

Before you start therapy, there are some things that you can do to prepare yourself so that you can make the most of your time in therapy.

…Assess your ability invest time and emotional energy needed for therapy.

…Begin a daily journal in which you write your thoughts, feeling and related behaviors.

…Recognize how long it took for the problem to develop and that it will take the same amount of time or longer to get to the root cause of that problem.

…Try to make connections between your feelings and thoughts and the patterns which emerge,

…Be willing to challenge your thoughts, and take risks to try something new. Try to have an open mind to understanding different perspectives of the problem you are facing.
